Vitamin d3 injection

Overview

Vitamin D3 Injection contains Cholecalciferol, a fat-soluble vitamin essential for calcium and phosphorus metabolism, bone health, and muscle function. The injectable form is used when oral supplementation is not feasible, such as in patients with malabsorption syndromes or severe deficiency requiring rapid correction.

It provides a quick and effective way to restore vitamin D levels in deficiency states.

⚖️ Strength/Dosage Form:

Injectable solution (commonly 300,000 IU/1 ml or 600,000 IU/1 ml depending on manufacturer)

Ampoule or vial for intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) use

✅ Indication:

Treatment of severe vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency

Prevention and management of rickets and osteomalacia

Supportive therapy for osteoporosis

Patients unable to take oral vitamin D
