Overview

Adrenaline Injection 1 mg/ml (also known as epinephrine) is a potent sympathomimetic drug used in emergency situations. It acts on both alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors, producing effects such as increased heart rate, increased force of cardiac contractions, bronchodilation, and vasoconstriction.

It is considered a life-saving medication in the management of anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, and severe asthma attacks when other treatments are ineffective.

⚖️ Strength/Dosage Form:

Injection: 1 mg/ml (commonly supplied in 1 ml ampoules)

✅ Indication:

Anaphylactic shock and severe allergic reactions

Cardiac arrest (as part of advanced life support)

Acute severe asthma (refractory to nebulized therapy)

Adjunct in local anesthesia (to prolong effect by vasoconstriction)
